Kyle Walker makes his AC Milan debut against city rivals Inter
Kyle Walker played the full 90 minutes in his eagerly anticipated debut for AC Milan as his new side drew 1-1 with rivals Inter at the San Siro - but his wife Annie Kilner was nowhere to be seen.
The right-back, who is on loan to the Italian team from Manchester City, was named in Sérgio Conceição's starting eleven for the first time since completing his move to the Serie A giants.
But his wife Annie was not in the crowd to cheer him on during his first match, which would have ended in a victory if not for an injury time equalizer from Inter's Stefan de Vrij, cancelling out Tijjani Reijnders's first half strike.
The couple's troubled marriage has made headlines in previous months with Annie allegedly serving him papers ahead of a £27million divorce.
The 33-year-old kicked Walker out of the family home last October after she discovered he had secretly fathered a second child with his ex-Lauryn Goodman.
But since then the couple have apparently begun patching up their troubled relationship - and were pictured together with their children at Christmas.
It was previously reported last week that Annie had decided to travel to Milan in a private jet with her and Kyle's children; sons Roman, 12, Riaan, eight, Reign, six and five-month-old Rezon.
However, Annie is expected to remain in the UK with the children until their living situation in Italy is sorted.
Walker's shirt was spotted in Milan's dressing room before the team's were announced, hinting that the England international might make his debut.
The 34-year-old is wearing the No 32 shirt, the same one worn by David Beckham when he played in Italy.
Walker had been part of the Manchester City squad since 2017.
The 34-year-old decided on seeking a new challenge last month after a difficult campaign with the Premier League champions.
Pep Guardiola revealed in early January that Walker was keen for a fresh start elsewhere and sources close to the player quickly ruled out the potential of the Saudi Pro League.
The defender has been one of the best full backs in the Premier League over the past decade, with the right back shining for Tottenham and Manchester City.
During his time at the Etihad, Walker has lifted 17 trophies, including six Premier League titles.
The England international is initially joining on a £4.2million loan from Manchester City but the deal includes an option for him to stay permanently in Milan until 2027.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, to announce his transfer to AC Milan, Walker said: 'I’m delighted and proud to sign for AC Milan!
'A club with such rich history, one I’ve followed since I was a kid. It’s an honour to join and I can’t wait to pull on the Rossoneri shirt and get started.
